His crowning victory—breaking the Tyroshi fleet and claiming an island in his Queen’s name—should have been a legacy. Instead, it ended in betrayal. Struck down in battle and left for dead, Juspar was lost at sea, unconscious and adrift, until fate intervened. A Volantene merchant vessel secretly aligned with House Valyr found and rescued him, taking him into their hidden world. Though he had once sailed under the banners of the Stormlands, he now commanded fleets under the Three Heads of Volantis, playing a pivotal role in Ashara’s grand ten-year scheme after the Doom. Now, Juspar is a man of two worlds. He has wealth and power beyond what he once possessed as Lord of Storm’s End, and he shares his life with Maela Valyr, a wife of high standing among Volantis’ secretive nobility. Yet despite his success, the fire within him has never dimmed.
