Baeleb

Baeleb is Narcissa's familiar. Most of her companions have never beheld his true form. He usually takes the form of a crow, or is completely unseen.
The relationship between Baeleb and Narcissa, as well as Baeleb and her companions, was mercuric. His mistress sent him on a missions (e.g. to spy on the A priest at Schloss Herbstfroh, to to summon Winifred's uncle Wigand, and at one point, to fight for her against Sigisar and Edmon. Baeleb always demanded his due in the form of blood for any services rendered.
After the Showdown at the Sign of the Blue Angel, in which his mistress was killed, Baeleb vanished in a puff of smoke.
Baeleb was apparently named after Narcissa's companion Kaleb, though the name may also have significance all its own.
