Edmon
Edmon was born in the nearby city of Brillig. Raised in the stone mason trade of his Father, Bertram, Edmon spent the great part of his youth as an urban laborer in Brillig and working for at Schloss Horstkopf. As always an introverted child, Edmon found great comfort in his daily labors, working with his hands, occupying his mind and exhausting his body. Through natural predisposition, and focused efforts, Edmon became quite strong, but his Father wanting more for his son, worried greatly about him and his future.
Two years past, his mother, Gretel, was taken by the Totentanz and Edmon withdrew inside even more after this event. However, as chance, or fate, sometimes decides, Bertram and Edmon were invited to move into the Schloss proper to be more available to Reimar Sawitzky, the Schloss majordomo. Betram relentlessly pleaded with Sawitzky to allow his physically impressive son to train in the fighting arts. Sawitzky at first was skeptical, but considering the recent loss of Betram's wife and valuing his skilled labor, he relented and did agree to let Edmon be trained and to join the Schloss guard. The training opportunity came at a fortunate time for Edmon, who just awakening from his long mourning of his mother and also just now becoming aware of the wider world and his place in it. Edmon now wondered if there really was more to life for him than manual labors. With this fortunate timing and the consistent urging of his Father, who believed deeply his son could be better than he, Edmon quickly took to the training with zeal and also found a keen affinity for greatweapons, which he wielded with ease and ferocity! Edmon has recently completed his first level of training and has been serving with the Schloss guard. His father is relieved and works with an extra smile on his face, making Sawitzky proud and knowing his son will have it better than he. The training has awakened the introverted Edmon, fueling his confidence and curiosity about the world at large. He wonders what's next and what's out there?
Edmon is a large and strong Mensch guardsman of Schloss Horstkopf but with a kind and gentle well-trimmed brown bearded face. Over his muscular frame is a decent suit of ring mail, and the tunic of the Schloss Horstkopf guard (a bear's head and silver crown on a blue and yellow, horizontal stripped field). He wears black pants, boots and forearm bands.
In his left hand, he holds aloft a tremendous greatsword, as if it were a toy of no significant weight. As he twirls the imposing weapon, he is quite skillful and quite careful not to endanger anyone.
A large backpack, seemingly stuffed for a long journey is at his feet.
