How the Sqʷn̓ečstm, Khünd Ajil and Amikwànò grew into the nations they are today.

Written history was recorded but not consistently enough to be entirely accurate. Many stories about great acts of heroism survive but are hard to believe are fully accrurate.

    First contact between Khünd Ajil and Sqʷn̓ečstm
    Diplomatic action

    The Khünd Ajil and Sqʷn̓ečstm make first contact. The Khünd Ajil are met with indifference as the Sqʷn̓ečstm view them as useless beasts, incapable of the most basic of tasks without opposable thumbs and with no technology.

    Diplomatic action

    The Khünd Ajil and Amikwànò make first contact. The Amikwànò deride the Khünd Ajil, believing them to be brutes.

    Pallina skirmishes against the Khünd Ajil
    Military action

    Overpopulation amongst the Pallina causes tribes to leave the Settentrionale Mountains and Meridionale Mountains, causing skirmeshes all along the Khünd Plains.

    The Eastern Council
    Gathering / Conference

    The Eastern Tribes of the Khünd Ajil meet in the East, on the path to the Pallina Pass in what is now known as Züünzöv. The tribes held the first known council of the Khünd Ajil in which a great debate took place about the Pallina threat. This resulted in The Great Push led by the leader of a local tribe, Ganbold.

    The Great Push
    Military action

    The newly united Eastern Tribes of the Khünd Ajil staged a military campaign led by Ganbold to push the Pallina back to their mountains. While the skirmishes continued for centuries after this campaign, they reduced greatly in scope and size. The victory was so great that this is widely considered a pivotal moment in the uniting of the Khünd Ajil tribes.

    Mel̓ux̌aca’ is born as the Sqʷn̓ečstm Unite against the Amikwànò threat
    Founding

    The Sqʷn̓ečstm unite and form the nation of Mel̓ux̌aca’ to combat the growing threat of the Amikwànò.

    The Kakina Basin War
    Military action

    The Amikwànò attacked the Sqʷn̓ečstm at Nibi Shàbwahàn in an attempt to claim more land up the Kakina River.

    Gathering / Conference

    The Sqʷn̓ečstm were getting hurt badly and requested aid from the Western tribes of the Khünd Ajil. With the recent success of The Great Push by the Eastern tribes, the tribes formed the first council of many of the Khünd Ajil. Many great debates took place about the future of the Khünd Ajil. Major topics were the threats of the Amikwànò and the Pallina, but discussion about quality of life and technology also came up. Ultimately, Ganbold was chose to lead the military to the aid of the Sqʷn̓ečstm.

    The Khünd Ajil join the Kakina Basin War
    Military action

    The Khünd Ajil join the war against the Amikwànò both fighting on a new front but also sending a contingent to directly aid on the Sqʷn̓ečstm front.

    Khünd Ajil push the front to the Amikwànò Marshlands
    Military action

    The Khünd Ajil army push the front of the war all of the way to the Amikwànò Marshlands, claiming all land as their own in the path. The Marshy Bay held out for a bit longer, but since they were cut off from the rest of their people, they eventually surrendered.

    The Kakina Treaty
    Diplomatic action

    After a prolongued back and forth where the Amikwànò were no longer able to push into Sqʷn̓ečstm or Khünd Ajil territory but could hold the marshes easily, a peace treaty was signed. Lands would stay as is. However the Sqʷn̓ečstm ceded the North Eastern portion of the Thuthíqut Forest to the Khünd Ajil as payment for the war effort.

    The First Khan
    Political event

    After the success of the wars against the Pallina and the Amikwànò, Ganbold had brought great victories to the Khünd Ajil. On his way back to the Eastern border, he raised support for his claim as the first Khan of The Khündish Empire. He was accepted by the tribes at Ankhny Zövlöl and united them into a single empire for the first time.

    The Fishing Famine
    Disaster / Destruction

    In 322 BE, the demand for fishing was so great in the X̌aluca' Rivers and the overpopulation caused the food supply to dwindle. Many Sqʷn̓ečstm began to starve. This caused many of the population to move out of the province, and in a lot of cases, out of the country in search of a better life and supply of food. Many of the Sqʷn̓ečstm living in the Confederacy of Khünd Ajil today descend from the families that left during the famine.

    Disbandment

    The Mel̓ux̌aca’ goverment collapses due to The Fishing Famine leaving the Sqʷn̓ečstm and other inhabitants to fend for themselves.

    The Khündnology Revolution
    Technological achievement

    The influx of Sqʷn̓ečstm from the Famine and the Amikwànò from the war sparked a new era of technology for The Khündish Empire. Newer inventions made for the thumbless were appearing everywhere. This allowed the Khünd Ajil to make major advances in their ability for farm, exploit resources, and build up cities.

    Founding of the School System
    Founding

    The founding of the school system was a major milestone for The Khündish Empire. This allowed them to take their education, which had previously happened locally within tribes, and spread it across the nations of the world for all to be enlightened.

    Classroom Revolution
    Cultural event

    The increase in education created a class revolution in The Khündish Empire. The inceased access to technology and education caused the formation of a new class. As this new class gained powers, more resources were put into further education and morality took an even stronger focus.

    The Rise of the Khans
    Disbandment

    After the death of the last Khan of The Khündish Empire, there was no clear successor. Weeks of infighting went by but no single leader emerged. Eventually, the fighting died out and the Khünd Ajil fractured into 7 independent states, Olon Uuloin Oran, Goloin Gazar, Ikh Tal Nutag, Khavtgay Gazar, Bayan Tansag, Marsh Gazar and Us Namgarkhag Gazar.

    The Confederacy
    Founding

    In 63 AE, the 7 Khünd Ajil states were becoming more intertwined than ever due to an increase in population, trade and technology. The 7 Khans gathered for the first time in centuries to discuss matters relevant to the governance of their states. They decided to form the Confederacy of Khünd Ajil to guide the policy of all who lived on the Khünd Plains.
