Uulot

Uulot is best know for hosting the yearly mountain festival, Uulyn Bayar. Each year at the tail end of summer, Uulot shifts from a small town along the Kaveto trade route into a world of wonder and festivities. Its large amount of inns, the camping grounds to the south and to the east, and the wealthy villas to the north are packed full as tourists travel from around the world.

Demographics

Most of the year Uulot is a small town with a population around 1,000. However, during the Uulyn Bayar festival, tens of thousands swarm into town. Two large areas south and east of town are dedicated to camping. Random tents pop up all along the road. Inns in town and in nearby villages fit as many festival goers in as possible, and the villas north of town fill up with delegates from around the continent. Almost all residents of the town are artisans, inn keepers or other non-farming professionals but usually work as part time farmers in the surrounding villages during the offseason.
In the offseason, Uulot is largely Khünd Ajil, however during the festival, there is representation from every known living race on Malplenan.
