Uulyn Bayar

Uulyn Bayar (aka, the mountain festival) is a once a year festival that happens evey fall in Uulot to celebrate the wonders of the Kaveto Mountain. It began as a local event where nearby villages would gather to tell the myths of the mountain and throw feasts to celebrate. Since then, the festival has grown very large as is now known across the entire continent. It attracts merchants, artists, musicians, athletes, politicians, and everyone else under the sun. There are events for everyone from fun and games to political alliances being forged. New ideas are born and cultures are forever changed from the ideas that spread.
The festival itself hosts a number of events, has a large food market and an area for stalls. The festival also includes two campgrounds for travellers to the festival. One general admission campground and one with semi-private dedicaed lots. Outside of the official festival grounds, many buildings and inns in the village host their own events. Uulot has a much higher density of inns than other villages their size to be able to host travellers for the festival. The path to the Kaveto mountains has many peddlers and entertainers along its route. There are also many private events that take place in the villas outside of town on the hills.

Food

Large food court with foods from all over. Can have the best, worst, weirdest, blandest take out food here. Some high profile chefs will setup and some inns and serve great meals. But the top chefs go to the villas to prepare for the rich. A feast is held for the villagers by the mayor after the festival goers have all left.

Anything you can imagine. Games of intellect, battles of wit, multi-day tag style games, etc.

Music

There is music everywhere during Uulyn. In the inns, among the camps, on stage at the festival grounds, during private events and everywhere else in between. The festival once tried to regulate the musicians but quickly retracted that policy as it created a huge mess. Since then, who gets to play where is in the hands of the musicians themselves and plenty of infighting occurs due to conflicts over territory.

Arts

Uulyn has artists from around the world come to show off their artwork, peddle it, mingle with other artists and spread their culture through their art with others. There is strong representation from around the continent but there are four art cultures that dominate: Khünd, Amikwànò, Rueda, and Moda. This art is anything from paintings, to carvings, to fashion or large installations. Most artists display their art among the crowds but some of the more well known artists have special events at the festival for them or private showings for only those invited.
