Sky

It is clear that the world, Maerl, is roofed over by the Sky. The Sky is, of itself, something of a mystery. Fly too near the sun, and you get scorched, get hit by the Blue Moon and - well whatever happens you never come back.

Whatever it is, it isn't completely stable. Like the Earth, it occasionally subject to the equivalent of Earthquakes (Skyquakes?) these have never been directly observed, but the falls of sky-iron suggest that something is dislodging it.

The Sky is the territory of three elements: The Light Rune, the Dark Rune and the Air Rune. Like on the Red Moon, Light and Dark constantly switch places - and do so daily unlike the battles on the Red Moon which take place over a month.
