Red Moon

The Red Moon is a Light that can be seen each night in the South-West of the sky.

The Moon is reputed to be a place of continual conflict between Light and Dark and the ebb-and-flow of this struggle causes the change in the depiction between days. Each month, the moon is swept by a wave of Dark, followed - two weeks later - by a wave of Light. The direction of each wave across the face is never predictable, but its inevitability is not in doubt.

The time between the Days of Victory of Light over Dark is what defines a month in the Bytyrii Calendar.
