Secus Taneris
Lagetum Secus Gratidius Taneris
Secus Taneris is Lagetum of the 47th Legion of the Numian Military. He has been a career soldier and earned his spot as a Lagetum through countless battles. In recent years, however, he has grown weary and more reserved.
He gave his life for the empire, when his legion was stationed on Vrinn Island trying to bring the island under the empire's control.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Despite his advanced age, Secus is still very much in good shape. The constant fighting and travelling of military life, rather than proving fatal kept him fit. He always stands straight and keeps a good posture, eluding an air of confidence and thoughtfulness.
Facial Features
The gray hair and full beard, as well as his wrinkles, show Secus' advanced age. A scar across his left eye is a testament to his first hand experience on the battlefield.
Apparel & Accessories
Secus wears a combination of plate and leather armor. His sword his kept at his hilt, attached to the belt. The armor is in prime condition. Additional markings and cloth accents mark his station as a Lagetum among the military.

Personal history
Secus Taneris followed the family tradition of joining the Numian military, just as his parents and his grandparents did before him. However, this did not provide Secus with any additional benefits. Just like any military family, the Taneris family did not want to appear to favor nepotism. As such, Secus started out his service as a lowly soldier. Every promotion he ever got, was well earned. Nonetheless, bad tongues keep suggesting otherwise.
Secus was well on his way of further climbing the ranks amongst the legions of the Numian Military, however, he decided to stop and stay with the 47th Legion. Ever since his tactics have changed slightly and he seems more reserved than usual. Some wonder, whether that is the reason why the Lizardfolk of Vrinn Island have been able to keep the military forces constrained to Diernum. The reasons for this change, and exactly when it happened are unclear. There are plenty of rumors though. Some say Secus is getting old and should retire, others claim he had been disgraced by his family and was now stuck at his current position. The theories are nearly endless.
