Ivan Aleksandrovich (Ee*VAN Alek*SAND*roh*vich)
A young orphan raised at the St. Aleksander convent in Aleksandrovka. The conception and birth of the child are shrouded in mystery, though the locals gossip that unclean powers were somehow mixed up in both.
The child grew up sickly and small, and was written off as a goner on multiple occasions. Yet he not only survived, but developed unexpected aptitudes. In the last year, he experienced a dramatic growth spurt, and now towers above children who used to abuse and bully him. More surprisingly, he suddenly developed an aptitude for letters, and quickly learned to read under the tutelage of Sister Irina, who has taken him under her wing.
Recently, Hegumenia Marfa has been trying to get the lad married off, as he is now quite clearly of age, and needs to find a craft and settle down. Perhaps to ensure that he stay near the village, Lada Kolova has been deemed an eligible bride - perhaps Ivan can make an honest woman of her.
