Hoarwood
The Hoarwood is a sprawling forest located east of Cromital and south of Whittlestead , bordered by the icy peaks of the Snowcloak Dominion. Renowned for its frosted pines and oaks, the forest is perpetually kissed by a layer of frost, even during the summer months. This unique phenomenon is attributed to the influence of the nearby Cryo-mithral Nexus, which subtly extends its magic to cool the region.
The Hoarwood River, a vital waterway, winds through the forest, converging near its heart before continuing toward the Prost Ocean. Its waters are icy and crystal clear, providing life to the forest and acting as a natural trade route to Graepor.
Inhabitants
The Hoarwood Grove lays claim to this forest. However, the influence of the grove is much subdued beneath the King in Cromital, and they are unable to protect the forest as they would want.
Cultural and Mystical Significance
The Hoarwood is steeped in folklore, revered as a place where the elements of life and frost converge. Travelers speak of faint whispers in the wind and mysterious lights seen in the deepest parts of the forest. The Eladrin, with their subdued role, quietly perform rituals to honor the Divine and the powers of the forest and maintain its natural rhythms.
