Captain Yrsa
Feared by inmates and respected—if not loved—by her subordinates, Captain Yrsa is the unyielding fist that holds Darkoa Prison together. A former warrior of the Skjolgardt clans, she was one of the few who swore fealty to House Eber during the unification of the Snowcloak Dominion. While the Skjolgardt are known for their ferocity, Yrsa’s brutality became legend even among her warlike kin.
Appointed by King Philus Eber himself upon recommendation from Chieftain Havrik Volstagg, Yrsa was given charge of the prison not merely to enforce the rules, but to deter any who would challenge it. She governs the prison with iron discipline, personally overseeing punishments, interrogations, and the training of guards. She has been known to break rebellious inmates in hand-to-hand combat to maintain order and reputation.
Darkoa's frigid isolation suits her temperament. She considers comfort a weakness and demands the same resilience from her subordinates. Under her leadership, the prison has never suffered a full breakout, and any escape attempt is met with swift, merciless retaliation.
Despite her cold manner, Yrsa has a twisted code of honor. She despises cowardice, values strength (of will as much as of body), and is utterly incorruptible. She treats every inmate as an enemy of the Dominion and believes that mercy is a luxury the Dominion cannot afford in these dangerous times.
