Demographics

There's no one living in this district at the moment, but when there were, the majority was of Snow Dwarves and Hill Halflings, much like the Mining District.

Government

This region, like every other district in Syrup (with the exception of the Monk's District), was run by a selected-by-the-king mayor.

There are no defences on this abandoned district.

Industry & Trade

Colection and exportation of Gold was once the main trade of this particular district.

Infrastructure

There's an Abandoned Gold Mine that was once very properous in this location.

History

This district was founded right after the creation of the Mining District. At that time, gold mining was thriving in this region and it was the richest during that period (even more than the Main District). The flow of gold was constant and because of it, the kingdom had enough of it to construct Cathedral of the Lightbringer and Ravinus' Shrine. 
But everything that is good lasts a short time. Ten years after the creation of the district, the gold in the mine ended and most of the people that were living in the district went to live and search for work in the northern Mining District. The ones that stayed quickly fell into poverty since the city was not supporting the district any longer. Eventually, in the year 354 BBE, a huge storm hit Syrup and destroyed the Old District. The place is a collection of destroyed stone house ruins and no one has lived there ever since.

Abandoned Gold Mine

Geography

This district is located in the foothold of the Southern Mountains, to the (of course) south of the Main District. It can be reached through Ravinus' Trail or coming from the west through the Monk's District or from the east through the Eastern Woods.

Natural Resources

There was once lots of gold in this district.
