LoE 2.4: Getting to Know You
The team made their way to the Delegation Talks and Luncheon. Though the preliminary talks were mostly posturing and fluff, they did manage to find out that the Minans seemed to be intentionally duplicitous. Apparently

While at the luncheon they were introduced to and met a number of “influential factions” but found out some interesting stuff. With a little effort,
Tatum befriended
Lily Hamilton, JR impressed
Sarah Barrett with his efficiency and alertness and
Taylor found out that
Freehouse Rai'ain was still performing covert archaeology maneuvers by way of remote probes.
Sarah Barrett (
AU Dometown) managed to get the team on the Security detail that would be meeting at the Real Pow Wow, apparently located at a Precursor Site. The
Minans were there and representatives from the University and a couple of others. When they got to the glass pool area it was physically incredible and breathtaking (see article image).
Long, inscrutable conversations begin again, this time with a little more focus but still just as boring. The team becomes aware of a presence and were soon pulled into what JR calls the Shadow Realm along with the three
Minan Elders. The team did battle with a shape-shifted man. It was pretty crazy. They actually managed to defeat him and a sword was given to JR for their victory
The
Chief Elder informed them that he would be taking them to his house to supper.
