Horns of Taurus
The Horns of Taurus are, to date, the only "voice" which has made themselves known to the non-Taurans in their space.
Public Agenda
The Taurans very public agenda is to keep as much control over their grounds as they can, but they are willing to "sell" access to interested parties at an exorbitant price. They are also reasonably traditional, and though the various tribes and clans making up the Taurans have banned together to form a more singular voice to use in dealing with the Federati, they are otherwise fiercly independent and balkanized in their dealings with others, and with any other issues outside of dealing with off-world interests.
Assets
They have successfully negotiated the acquisition of 4 non-interstellar vessels in return for access to a cluster of archaeological sites approximately 70 kloms (kilometers) from Dometown Delta. They have also amassed a reasonable amount of other wealth (Fantastic (+6) Resource rank).
History
The inhabitants of Minos were content to let others look around their planet until these visitors confused the privilege to visit with the right to acquire. Since the Minos society is essentially tribal in nature, initially, each tribe dealt with the interlopers, but offworlders learned quickly that these were part of a larger peoples. The Horns of Taurus became the most vocal and active of the Minan peoples quickly developing an effective and sophisticated team more than capable of dealing with the persons of Dometown. Initially acquiring one spacecraft (and people are still wondering how that was agreed to), the Federati (as they call off offworlders) began to understand that they were dealing with crafty folks and began putting restrictions upon operations on their world. Some weren't happy with the arrangements, seeing it as a reneging of the agreements which had previously allowed them access, and began raiding. The Horns of Taurus threatened to destroy the many other sites which existed on the planet, most underground, if their demands weren't respected which created an impasse. All Federati were required to remain in Dometown Delta unless escorted by Minans, and that at their suffrage.
In an attempt to regain goodwill (and access to the sites), the Federacy urged the creation of the Dometown Transitional Authority.
It has been determined that there are a couple of Federati rogue elements, and the Taurans have warily agreed to allow the Federati to police their people or everyone will be asked to leave the world.
