Political eventEmperor Coburn was stabbed whilst leaving his carriage by disgruntled Bernard Lauma, posing as a hostler. Lauma was part of a Djinn-supremacist group dedicated to the destruction of the Gedian Empire. Coburn was stabbed twice through the stomach and suffered wounds across his arms and head. He survived for two weeks, however his wounds became gangrenous, and healers were unable to save him.

Disaster / DestructionWyverns live high in the mountains where they are the undoubted apex predators. Every so often (once a century or so), they will come down out of the mountains in a flight, destroying small villages and towns, before returning to their mountain homes. This day, they ventured forth and laid waste to Chilney, a small city. Ilisuaqia placed a sizable bounty on wyverns after this in an attempt to cull the population. Antique wyvern-hide armor can still be found in the surrounding area. Chilney has since been rebuilt.
