Using dark magics and vile sacrifice, maniacal cultists performed a horrid ritual that cast Tinuviel into the sea. The disaster saw noble and commoner alike flee to the ships. Many lives were lost that day, including those of the cultists.
Against the protests of Aki Mairwen, Prince Chaudhary outlawed Blood Magic. Despite this ban, most nobles (and the Princedom) continued the practice in secret. It is often used as a thinly-veiled excuse to arrest nobles the Princedom thinks are too powerful.
With the death of Lord Mordokhay, his personal library was donated to the Zacharias University. This private library (open only to Professors) has ancient tomes, manuscripts, and even some archaic spellbooks.
Emperor Coburn was stabbed whilst leaving his carriage by disgruntled Bernard Lauma, posing as a hostler. Lauma was part of a Djinn-supremacist group dedicated to the destruction of the Gedian Empire. Coburn was stabbed twice through the stomach and suffered wounds across his arms and head. He survived for two weeks, however his wounds became gangrenous, and healers were unable to save him.
Savage Ogres stormed from the mountains, destroying forges and furnaces, collapsing mines, destroying homes, and indiscriminately killing. Tsenjar was left as a smoking ruin, however, it was reclaimed and rebuilt after the ogre menace was removed. The people of Tsenjar built larger walls the second time.
Enraged at their treatment, in particular that of Lord Grozdana, the Orcs of Bjordur rose up against their masters, and were brutally put down. Despite their deaths, the slaves' actions inspired The Revolting Orcs, eventually leading to an orcish homeland.
Inspired by the Bjordur Slave Rebellion, Orcs throughout the Koppelian Principality rose and slaughtered their masters. The success of those slaves in the north led to the creation of the Dudlingia Principality.
Emperor Farouk died during a tourney, unmarried with no heir. Distant relatives contested each others' claims to rule, deals were made in dark rooms, schemes were concocted, and even a few armies postured. Eventually, Chancellor Calixte cut a deal with Emperor Dazhdbog, giving each of them the aforementioned posts.
During the height of the Gedian Empire, Emperor Avinash invaded Galhaansa, then an independent state. When its neighbors came to its defense, the beginnings of Covioria Republic was created.
Wyverns live high in the mountains where they are the undoubted apex predators. Every so often (once a century or so), they will come down out of the mountains in a flight, destroying small villages and towns, before returning to their mountain homes. This day, they ventured forth and laid waste to Chilney, a small city. Ilisuaqia placed a sizable bounty on wyverns after this in an attempt to cull the population. Antique wyvern-hide armor can still be found in the surrounding area. Chilney has since been rebuilt.
Dark cultists infiltrated Auliagus City. Committing arson to spread panic, they attacked the governor under cover of night. The Naga are not so easily oppressed; they rebuffed the attackers, even managing to capture a few of them. The cultists claimed to be from the Gedia Empire, creating some strife between the two nations.
The Ilisuaqian Navy invaded the Isle of Tussaq while simultaneously invading the Southwestern peninsula of Lavrentiy.
