Vassily Mountains
The Vassily Mountains are located in the center of Lavrentiy, effectively splitting the continent. It has three spines, the south, which extends into the Coviorian Republic, and the north and west ranges, in the Ilisuaqian Empire. Those latter two spines form a slight C-shape, cradling the Zuleika Valley.
The center the Vassily Mountains are beyond the reaches of all civilized life and it is not claimed by any nation. The Southern Range is almost entirely a barrier, seperating Covioria from the Gedian Empire, except at Hornick Pass and the far south, where the range ends. The Northern Range is lightly settled, but the Western Range is the only heavily-settled part of the Vassily Mountains. Many Dwarf cities and towns are located within the Western Range, and one of Ilisuaqia's largest trade route, the Dark Roads, runs through them.
