The heart of the forest

The heart of the forest is the tittle given to the leader of Forest heart. This is one of of the twin settlement used for the different mostly nomadic tribes who lives in The Frontier Forest. It is important to know that The heart of the forest doesn't have any autorithy over the different tribes in the forest, only over their settlement, Forest heart, and over The Heart, the artefact which connect it to River heart

Requirements and appointment

There is only two requirement to be consider for the position:

1. To be a member of one of the forest tribes
2. To be in Forest heart, in the few day windows where the election happens after the old leader dies.

But the appointment itself is done by The Heart itself in a ceremony called The Renewal of the Heart. This also applied to the twin leader. The heart of the river.

Duties and Responsibilities

Historically, their main duty has been to operate the heart, this is to cross anyone who whished to towards River heart, and to offer her abilities as mediator and neutral conselor in any conflic between the different tribes, if requested to.
This is still their main duty, but recent events have expanded their responsabilities to war chief and commander of the combined armies of the forest agaist their war with Entrelai

Relationships

Once appointed, both The heart of the forest and The heart of the river are no longer consider part of any specific family or tribe in the forest. Intead, they are related to each other and The Heart. This doesn't stop them to keep relatioships with members of their old familie or tribe, but they are not allowed to favour them instead of member of other tribes.
They are also allowed to take companions and even have childrens, if they wished to. Any children will be consider of the family and tribe of their partner.
