The war waged by Eldurgrund in an attempt to sack Saint's Maar. While the attackers had powerful forces and even greater confidence, they would be forced back to their homeland where they were sieged by General Nostula Turases and his Saltkrigere forces.

After going dark and limiting all incoming or outcoming activity due to the Silence, Eldurgrund decided it should take matters into its own hands. Frustrated with the weakness of their leaders in Saint's Maar for nearly collapsing simply due to the fall of the Augurs, the baron of Euvurcrest decided to build his military forces and invade. Already having developed promising plans for how their occupation should steer the government, they would never get to enact their plans.   While the Elduri forces were able to carve their way to the city's walls and begin a siege, constant retaliation made maintaining their position improbable. Several months into their presence, matters were made worse when word had come that the Saltkrigere had pledged to arrive in supports of Saint's Maar. Finding that they would only have 3 weeks before the Saltkrigere ships arrived, the invaders decided to escalate their plans, in hopes of capturing the city and using its defenses against the incoming navy.   Unfortunately, the people within the walls were hardly weakened from hunger and still had plenty of rations to go around. Most of the soldiers were caught in an ambush at the consul's keep and the rest were trapped in the senate chamber and smoked to their death. Those that lived warned their superior officers that a retreat was necessary if they wanted any chance at survival.   The survivors proved right, as the Eldurgrund forces marched back to Euvurcrest with the Saltkrigere navy at their heels. After settling in Euvurcrest for their last defense, the Saltkrigere took Twinskeep, fearing interference during their attack.   The Saltkrigere began taking Euvurcrest but were ultimately met with little resistance when they learned that terms were changed, and the standing baron would not be slain. General Turases convinced the newly placed Augurs that it would serve the nation better if the standing rulers were humiliated with the revoking of their "baron" status.   The family title would be reduced to "Governor," as their "savage" Predecessors had before them. This title would come with extra supervision in the future and restriction on their role in guiding their own military.
