Ghei Wyl Forms Confederacy Symposia

Political event

1217

The formation of the Confederacy Symposia, a democratic political organization within Ghei Wyl composed of several parties. Each smaller party within this organization had various backgrounds, but all acted in opposition to the didactic rulings of the late Monadnock Symposium.

Ghei Wyl had sat in silence for years as Nim acted against the growth of the Ourithanur Collective. Having witnessed the fall of the Monadnock Symposium, the independent nation grew antsy at the thought of silencing such fringe ideas and organization. The elvish population in the mountains had their own diverse outlook on gods and cosmicism, which bred conflict through debate, but the nation thrived on the cycling of ideas and authority. In the spirit of this "healthy conflict," Ghei Wyl would open its borders to the various groups that hadn't yet been swallowed by the Ourithanur Collective. From the ground up, Ghei Wyl would construct a new 24-party system of government.   The constant push and pull between the parties would nearly divide the nation in three, only made worse by the eventual legalization of alcohol and trade with the city of Poueir. Before long, the citizen body of the nation would claim that they had been "soiled" by the outside world. While the 24 parties would remain active, a new system would see the citizens of the nation vote anonymously at local Teahouses.
