Dirn

Dirn is the left central continent of Laeriss, it is covered in light forests, known as the Derinian woodlands, and contains the largest freshwater lake on Laeriss, known as the Teriat lake which connects to the Teriat rivers on Laeriss. Wizards In the town of Oleque cause water in the atmosphere to collect and rain into the lake. The continent is known for its large lumber exports and also for the massive Teriat Canal connecting the Teriat river to Kaelia. The entire continent is currently under the control of The Kaeslaran Dominion but The Surrani Empire are also looking to take back some of the land they owned before the split of Laeriss.

Geography

The colossal Teriat lake is located at the southern part of Dirn, it is the biggest lake or source of freshwater on Laeriss. From the lake branches out the Teriat river, the river branches many times across Dirn, creating what some call the branches of Padalor.

Fauna & Flora

Oak, sycamore, elm, and other common trees cover the woodlands. Creatures like deer, rabbits, and bears live in the forests as well. In the Teriat lake and Teriat river many, many fresh water fish reside, feeding the animals of the continent. The land of Dirn, much like Kaelia, is very fertile but it is much less flat making farming much harder than on Kaelia.

Natural Resources

The people of Dirn hugely profit off large lumber exports, since the Derinian woodlands of Dirn are a massive source of very useful and usable wood. This wood is commonly exported all throughout Laeriss and Derinian wood is what the continent is commonly known for. Fresh water fish from the lake are also sold; the Teriat lake harbors many unique species which went extinct everywhere else on Laeriss in the aftermath of the split. Because of this fact these fish are much more valuable than they would be otherwise and provide a bountiful supply of good food.
