Mythology & Lore

The Family Divided
The Moon and The Sun, once united, symbolized perfect balance between light and shadow. Their love gave birth to The Star, a radiant deity embodying hope, inspiration, and cosmic guidance. However, strife and divergent ideals led to their separation: The Moon retreated into the night, shrouded in mystery, while The Sun held dominion over day, burning with clarity and pride. The Star stood as the eternal bridge between them, a glimmer of their former unity.

Night of the Veil
In an ancient age, The High Priestess and The Moon faced a great calamity when The Devil sought to pierce the divine mysteries guarded by them. Using corruption and temptation, The Devil attempted to shatter The Moon’s dominion over dreams, plunging the world into a nightmare realm where shadows came alive. The High Priestess, wielding her hidden knowledge, sealed the rift between realms, but at the cost of weakening her divine bond with The Moon.

Conquest of Shadows
When the realm was threatened by an army of shadow beings birthed from The Moon's sorrow after her separation from The Sun, The Chariot rode forth to lead the forces of light in battle. The Emperor supported The Chariot, providing strategic guidance and reinforcements. Together, they pushed back the darkness, restoring order to the land. The battle was fierce, but The Chariot’s unwavering will, combined with The Emperor’s commanding presence, brought victory.

The Masked Duel
In an age of endless nights, The Hermit sought answers in the realm of The Moon, where illusions and dreams obscured reality. To test The Hermit’s resolve, The Moon conjured a series of trials filled with deceptive visions. After years of wandering, The Hermit emerged wiser and capable of navigating dreams with clarity. This tale is seen as a testament to the value of perseverance through confusion and inner doubt.

The Lunar Passage
After a great plague, Death met with The Moon to guide the departed souls through a mysterious shadowed realm that bridged life and the beyond. The Moon provided the veil that kept souls protected from the grasp of wayward spirits, allowing Death to lead them to rest. This alliance taught mortals that passing through the unknown is both a journey of mystery and a necessary cycle.

Cosmological Views

The Celestial Trinity
The Moon, The Sun, and The Star form a unique triad that embodies the cycles of hope, enlightenment, and renewal. Despite their divided nature, followers interpret their relationship as a reminder that light and dark are two sides of the same coin. Devotees of The Moon focus on mystery, intuition, and the subconscious, while those devoted to The Sun seek clarity, truth, and guidance. The Star serves as the reconciler, representing faith and the illumination found in times of darkness. This alliance teaches that even when separated by distance or discord, hope can still bridge divides. Temples to the Celestial Trinity are places of meditation and celestial observation, where seekers of wisdom look for guidance through the stars and their omens.

The Veil and the Night
The High Priestess shares a deep, almost secretive connection with The Moon. Both deities symbolize mystery, intuition, and the hidden truths of existence. Together, they are seen as keepers of divine secrets, governing dreams, prophecies, and the unseen world. Devotees of this pairing—mystics and seers—believe that to uncover the divine truths of the universe, one must look within and beyond the veil of the ordinary. Rituals often involve nighttime ceremonies under the moonlight, calling upon The High Priestess’s wisdom to illuminate the path lit by The Moon.

Transformation and Shadow
Death and The Moon share a relationship based on the transition between life, mystery, and the afterlife. While Death is the guide through the end of existence, The Moon guards the secrets of what lies beyond. Their connection is sacred to necromancers, mystics, and those who ponder mortality. Devotees honor this pairing with night vigils, seeking comfort in the knowledge that death is not an end but a journey shrouded in shadows.
