King of Castroba Main Kingborn (a.k.a. King of the People)
Main Kingborn, king of the castronians. Main was loved by many, and respected by even his enemies. He wasn't known for any outstanding ability in combat. But instead he was known for his strategic mind and his way with people. He quickly got known as “the king of the people”. Many consider Main to be the greatest leader to have ever walked Krotera. Main was born in 9997, to queen Castra Kingborn and King Arken Kingborn.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Main is not known for being a strong fighter and an amazing warrior. But this doesn't mean he isn't fit. Main has a good physique. Thin but with muscle.
Facial Features
On his lower lip, on the left side is a scar. And it is said that sometimes you will be able to see a dark shadow move in his eyes. This happens everytime Manum is manipulating his mind, and showing him something.
He is also known for rarely smiling, but instead always looking serious.

Personal history
The birth of Main wasn't pretty, and would also lead to the death of his mother, Castra Kingborn. Doing the birth, Mains father wasn't at home either, as he was out fighting against the armies of the fjell lands. But he would return to Castroba as soon as he got the news about his son's birth and his wife's death.
While the people of Castroba waited for the king's return they feared the worst. A Lot of the people in Castroba feared that Arken would be so distraught about the death of his wife, that he wouldn't be able to take care of his newly born son. Some people even feared he would blame his son for her death. But to all's relief, none of this came to be. Arken came home with his head held high and first went to greet his young son. He even brought Main with him when he went in to see his wife and wished her safe travels to the realm of the dead.
For the next couple of years, Arken spent most of his time at home teaching Main how to be a king. As the queen was dead, Arken knew that he wouldn't be getting any more children. So this one had to be perfect. Main was sent to study in the library of Castroba Castle, taught by some of the kingdom's smartest people. And quickly Main showed talent within the field of strategy. Not just strategy in combat, but also in diplomacy and in trading. So these would also be the areas the teachers would be focused on perfecting.
But when Main was only 13, it all fell apart. His father, Arken Kingborn, was assassinated in the castle. In a room right next to where Main was at the time. Main would also be the one to find the body of his father. The head was cut clean off and put on a spike next to the body. This destroyed Main. He stopped going to classes, cut himself away from friends, and in the end, he ended up getting into a massive depression. But even though he was in a depression and wasn't able to do much, the kingdom needed a king. And as the only candidate was Main, he had to be crowned, only 4 days after the death of his father.
But even though Main had been crowned king, and technically ruled the kingdom. He wasn't able to do much in his state. So instead the kingdom would be ruled by the nobles. All while Main would suffer in his depression. Seeing the sight of his father's head on a spike every night. But the worst was yet to come.
When Main was in his depression, his mind was at its weakest. He would be visited by the god of nightmares. Manum. Without Mains knowledge, Manum would enter his mind one night, to feast on his sorrows. After Manum had entered Mains mind, he started showing him visions. Firstly, the vision of his father. Then visions of shadows in different places. And not only when he was sleeping, but in all corners he would go. He started making Main hear whispers. Both inaudible whispers, but also from voices he knew. Sometimes it would be the voice of his father, saying all kinds of bad things, just to tear Main apart.
Doing the darkness of Mains mental health, and his battle against the god of nightmares, which he didn't even know he was fighting. The nobles of Castroba started taking over the rule of Castroba. Trying to remove all eyes from Main and divert them to themself. They didn't wish for the king to gain back the rule if he ever came back from these dark times.
The nobles started to try and make the public eye on Main turn dark. They tried to make the people hate the king for abandoning them. They started to make new laws giving themselves more and more power. After a year of ruling Castroba, they made a law declaring that the nobles had the power to sentence anyone lower to be executed, no matter the crime.
To show that the nobles truly were in power at this point and that it wasn't all just a facade. They sentenced a farmer to be executed in public for talking ill against the nobles of Castroba. Something that up until the nobles came to rule, wasn't illegal. The farmer was sent to prison while all the preparations for the execution happened. And when they finally were ready to hang the man for the entire city to see, right in front of Castroba castle.
Main had heard about what was about to happen from Augustus Manif. The castle keeper of Castroba Castle. And Main was furious. From the giant door of the castle, came Main followed by 4 Castroba guards to shut it all down.
“ERNIS ELGERSON, HOW DARE YOU TAINT THIS CASTLE OF THE CASTRONIANS WITH THE BLOOD OF THOSE WHO WORK TO KEEP IT STANDING HIGH!” Main yelled so all who had shown up could hear it. He then ordered the guards to seize Ernis and the nobles standing by his side. The farmer who was supposed to be hanged by the orders of the nobles was taken down from the big wooden scene that had been built for the show. The people who had shown up to watch started chanting to hang the nobles instead. The guards holding the nobles looked at Main for orders. And even though the rage he had gotten when Augustus told him what was happening, cleared his mind totally of the mess that it had been for years now. His mind was now back to being a dark mess. His response was nothing but a nod of his head, before turning around and heading back to the castle.
Outside the guards took Ernis to the gallow to hang him as the people wished. And an explosion of chants and laughter was heard all around Castroba City as Ernis Elgerson was hanged, followed one by one came the rest of the nobles who had stood by Ernis. And each and every time the Gallow rope took the life of a noble, the chants and laughter roared back.
A week after the execution of the nobles, the tension in Castroba was high. The people had gotten respect for Main, but the nobles feared and hated him. Augustus came back to Main after the week had gone by to talk with him.
“You need to come out of the dark sir. The people have gotten a love for you after you freed them from the tyrannic nobles. But they need a leader now. They need you. Their love is fragile and it is fading, and if you don't come out of the dark and show yourself to your people. They will want to see you strung up next.”
Main wasn't sure, he was still hearing voices every day. And they were getting worse every week. He was now hearing the people's chants like they did when they wanted the nobles to be hanged. But instead of the nobles' names, he was hearing his own. In the shadows of his room when he was trying to sleep, he was now seeing the faces of the nobles, who had come to take their revenge.
But Augustus was right, and he knew it. So he called his people outside so that he could speak to them. On his way out to the castle gates where he would hold his speech, the voices came back.
“DEATH TO THE KING”.
“TYRANT! MURDER! USURPER!” All the way out. He feared spears, stones or other things would be flying against him as soon as he would show his face to the people. But instead of this hate, what he met when he stood in front of his people was very different.
“LONG LIVE MAIN! LONG LIVE THE KING!” Was what his people were yelling. And to that Main spoke. And his people were now with him, for he promised to do all he could to fight for these people that had come to listen to him, who had come to support him.
Later Main started to use what he had learned when he was young to rule over his kingdom. And never before had Castroba been more powerful. He made trades that made sure Castroba became the number 1 wealth in the world. He made alliances stronger than ever before. He was the king that even his enemies respected.
Education
Main was taught by some of the smartest people of the world inside the library of Castroba Castle. Here he studied strategy, trading and diplomacy at the highest level.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Main has so many achievements under his belt.
First and foremost Main was the king who started the trade with the eastlands.
It was Main who stood in front when the big battle of the third satyr invasion happened, led by the resurrected Mongoron and the god of pain, suffering and hatred, Paii himself.
It was Main who sailed out to find the sea elves when they went missing, and found the slither gills and Kuku. And it was Main who stood in front when Kuku was defeated by Main and his army.
It was Main who discovered the hidden isles for the Mainlands.
And it was Main who led the armies against Viessa in her first invasion of the mortal world.
Failures & Embarrassments
Mains biggest failure is when he tried to stop the civil war of Orag-mark. Main had called all the big leaders of the Mainland to a meeting, where they would discuss and try to find a way to stop the civil war that was happening at the Orag-mark. But when all had come and the meeting started, it didn't go long before it got heated. And instead of finding a solution, the different leaders started going with one of the 2 sides in the conflict. Which ended up making it go from a civil war, to a war of kingdoms and factions instead.
Mental Trauma
When Main was just a 13 year old boy. He would find his father killed by an assassin. His head had been cut off and put onto a spike next to the body. This sight would put Main into a deep depression, that would open his mind for the god of nightmares to enter. Which would just lead him into his darkest time, filled with depression, anxiety, nightmares, voices and shadows in the dark.
