Assassination of Arken Kingborn

One fateful evening. The king, Arken Kingborn, was assassinated. Found by his own son.

It was evening. Main was sitting in the reading chamber. He was reading up on Paladis, the god. Trying to study, as his father had told him to do. His stomach was starting to rumble, showing he was hungry. But it was nearly time to eat. And finally, the last page in this book. Finally he was done with his studies for today. He quickly stood up, and went out. Now must be time to eat. He wanted to go ask his father if he were coming, maybe they could follow each other down to the dinning hall. He knew where his father was, in the room right next to the reading chamber.   He quickly went to the big door, pushed it open. A scream left Main mouth as he saw the scene in the room. He fell to his knee, all blood felt like it was leaving his body. He quickly got very sick. On the floor lay the headless bloody corps of Arken Kingborn. His father. Right next to the body, a pike. On the top of this pike was the head of Arken Kingborn. It had been cut clean off. Behind him, on the other side of the room. A window, being wide open.   Main quickly crawled towards the lifeless body, crying and screaming. He had no idea how to react… no idea what this all meant. But right now, all he could think was that this is not real, this cannot be real. Now men started running in. Guards were yelling to each other, they were running hecticly around. Looking out the window, running out to see if they could catch whoever had done this. But Main didn't hear anything of what they were saying. Dalen, the head of the castle, came and took Main away. Main didn't want to leave his dad, but Dalen was pulling him. “You need to come with me, it isn't safe here and you don't need to see this.” He said, while leading Main towards the throne room. The throne room was filled with guards. “You're not safe in your own room, your highness, stay here while the men work.”   But the killer was not found. And now, the king is dead.
