Arjunda

The Queen of Tides

Arjunda is goddess of rivers, lakes, seas, plagues, and diseases. She is often depicted as the wife of Fenrierys who keeps his wrathful flames in check. She sends plagues and diseases on humanity as blessings to eat away at the impurities of the body. Worshippers perform water rituals of washing for purification. Worshippers who contract diseases and illnesses are held in high esteem, especially those who suffer from fevers, which are thought to be a joint blessing of Arjunda and Fenrierys of “inner purifying fire”. Cults of Arjunda who have fevers often try to intensify the fevers until they hallucinate, believing the hallucinations to be visions from Arjunda. Sometimes use of drugs is also involved in cultic worship to bring about visions from their Goddess. Arjunda is often allied with Fenrierys, but is seen as ambivalent or apathetic toward the other gods.
