Achaeral
The Moon Goddess (a.k.a. Lady of the Forests)
Achaeral (pronounced Ash-ay-ral) is goddess of light, peace, life, and the harvest. Her worshippers are often pacifists, offer sacrifices of fruit and grain, and perform rituals involving the stars and astronomy. Achaeral worshippers believe that this world is her good gift to mankind, and that true wisdom comes from being attuned to nature. Achaeral cults typically embrace polygamy and gluttony, but despise wealth and luxury. Upon death, Achaeral worshippers believe the body is dispersed and then reformed as another part of creation. The cycle of life is typically thought to circular, going from human, to plant, to animal, to human again. For this reason, Achaeral worshippers don’t eat meat and avoid harming plant life as well (e.g. they use only dead wood or mud bricks for building, and they eat only fruits from plants so as not to destroy the whole plant). Achaeral is seen equally allied with Diatana as well as opposed to Diatana. She usually is not seen as getting along well with the other gods.
