The Victory Hall in Midas is a place of ambition and favors. Here, the most powerful, dangerous, and ambitious gather to fulfill their goals and establish connections. The Victory Hall has a sordid history though. Here, The Augustana Revolts began, but it was also here that the Basileus who ended The 50-Year War marched with the rest of the returning victors and bolstered the confidence of a broken empire. Currently, the Victory Hall is a place of entertainment though its function reaches much further. Basileia Veta Palladius seems to understand well how to make her ambitions come to fruition by playing the game in the Victory Hall. It is believed that here she found support from The BladeSworn and has begun to formally make plans to reclaim Thakuria. It is also here that the Basileia has begun to establish new relationships with The Three Circles in an attempt to secure the Jade Road and the wealth and influence of Seidon.Events for the Empire
The Victory Hall is also a place where the people of the empire come to relieve stress and participate in exciting games and tournaments. There are many events held here throughout the year, but none compare in size and scale to the Grand Championship, which is an event that is held once a year and features chariot racing, team melee, single combat, a foot race, a trireme battle, archery competitions, gladiatorial combat, boxing, Harpastum, Ludus latrunculorum, and Trigon. These events draw great crowds of spectators who are all make bets and wagers on which teams will win. The betting is more complicated for the elite though, who use the games as a means of gaining power and influence and to establish favors.
