Personal history
Renauver was born into Daggerheart. Like most young men in his family, he trained hard and dreamed of adventure. He trained with the tools of his future trade as soon as he could lift them, and never considered any other sort of life.
His Becoming was almost fortuitous; a bandit clan had moved into the area, one of the worst in a generation. A full Balatar Militia was called, and he signed up without hesitation. He marched against the foe, and it was everything he'd imagined.
When the victorious militia returned, he remained within it, raising through the ranks rapidly. He was a gambler's favorite for Militia Tokens and other honors, and eventually he was the undisputed candidate when it came time to replace the old Sergeant. He has since watched as the Balatar lose relevance year after year, particularly with the influence of Oskar Bürkli. He has grown resentful and bitter.
