Hairy Jack
Dog (Powered). Age unknown.
He's a big friendly neighborhood mutt. He doesn't live at any particular family's home, but all the Green Haven neighborhood kids feed him and pet him.
Also, he just so happens to be a protector spirit from English folklore. He uses his powers to protect the neighborhood. He has the powers of precognition, teleportation, tangemendia (the power to heal with the touch). Technically, Hairy Jack might be a Hellhound, but he's a nice one.
He's tough, gentle unless provoked, and highly protective of the people he consider's his pack.
Hairy Jack does not like the The Smiling Man, and he will protect the townsfolk from his presence. He has also fearlessly battled other Hellhounds at great personal cost to himself.
He was captured and tranquilized during the mayor's crackdown on strays, in response to the supposed rabies epidemic, and was scheduled to be euthanized at the Angel Gabriel Animal Shelter, along with his dog-friend Cleopatra. However, Eustacia Booker, Hazel Lowrey, and Katy Hathorne were able to rescue him, and even to seemingly defeat The Smiling Man... at least for now.

Personal history
There are many tales of ghostly black dogs in Lincolnshire collected by Ethel Rudkin for her 1938 publication Folklore. Such a creature, known locally as Hairy Jack, is said to haunt the fields and village lanes around Hemswell, and there have been reported sightings throughout the county from Brigg to Spalding. Rudkin, who claimed to have seen Hairy Jack herself, formed the impression that black dogs in Lincolnshire were mainly of a gentle nature, and looked upon as a spiritual protector. Hairy Jack was also said to haunt lonely plantations, byways, and waste places where it attacked anyone passing by, but if you've actually met him you'd know that's probably nonsense. He's such a good shaggy boy!
