James S. Sherman
James S. Sherman was an American politician who served as the twenty-third Chancellor of America from 1906 to 1912. Sherman rode off of the financial success and big business backing that William McKinley and Charles W. Fairbanks had garnered. However, the support for the Unionist Party began to wane as the rise of populism under the Libertarian Party began to be prominent, especially with the ascension of Edward III as King of America. As a result, in order to secure a second term, he was made to select Libertarian Theodore Roosevelt in 1910.
In 1911, Sherman convinced King Edward to abandon his Secretary to the Monarch, Richard Hale, following scandolous rumors. As a result, Hale was made Ambassador to the German Empire, where he was later killed during the Great War.
