Bone-Sucker Demons

Bone-sucker demons are a type of passive demon that burrow underground and consume the bones of the dead. In doing this, they take in the remnents of the energy associated with the death of that mortal, especially in the case of violent deaths. Because they don't seek to cause the violence itself and instead merely come along sometimes decades or longer after death, they are classified by demonologists as passive demons, not violence demons.

Bone-sucker demons must be vanquished immediately upon discovery due to the pollution they cause when digesting mortal remains. Mortal plant and animal life in the polluted area will die rapidly after contact, and some other paranormal beings have reported ill effects, though not death. The area infected by the demon must then be cleansed. Anyone in need of assistance with vanquishing or cleansing may contact the Mortal Protection Agency.
