Risanare Isle
Once known as The Gallows Isle, Risanare Isle is one of the newest conquests of Tharrisia, taken during the prelude period of The Tharrisian War and the Year of the Dragon known as The Conquest of the Gallows Isle.
The Gallows Isle was once the primary port of call and safe haven for pirates. Since it's conquest it has become a Colonia of Tharrisia and has become equal parts a naval port and a farming island. While the pirates never took full advantage of it, it would seem that the island has rich farm land for farming, especially crops such as wheat and fruit trees.
The richness of the land resulted in a "gold rush" of sorts from the mainland. While at first mostly poorer Tharrisian citizens and freed slaves were the ones farming, they were bought out by rich Tharrisians who later realized the wealth of the land, leaving a somewhat downtrodden poorer population to work the land for less than they would have had they simply kept their land originally.

Infrastructure
Infrastructure was more or less non-existent at the founding of the Colonia, it turns out pirates are bad at civilization building. But Tharrisia invested quite a bit to quickly bring the island up to Tharrisian quality, both to expedite the islands incorporation into its Empire and to show to the world that being a Tharrisian subject had upsides. The island now boasts some of the newest and up to date roads, forts, and other infrastructure.
