Province of Forelenium
Forelenium is a darker land than many. It is unique in that it allowed unbridled use of the magical arts, including necromancy. Almost anything went in Forelenium. The effect of this however is that the land is often plagued by the undead and various curses as people practice the dark arts.
Known for being a drab and dire people, the Foreleni are also known for a dark pragmatism, and a somewhat unholy drive to get things done.
Forelenium is a land now divided and conquered. Having been overwhelmed by Tharrisia in The Tharrisian War, it was divided after the end of the war. Its territory east of the Halteri river was given to create the new Ager Terrena Idiomaris, while its western half was put under joint control of Tharrisia and Embrel. Though this did not last long as Embrel was forced to allow Tharrisia full control of the region due to a lack of manpower to occupy the region.
Forelenium as a term now refers to the Province of Forelenium, and the nation is effectively gone.
Disbandment
After its conquest by Tharrisia the nation was then split between the new Ager Terrena Idiomaris and Tharrisia/Embrel, with Tharrisia soon taking full control of the part it split with Embrel.
Demography and Population
Forelenium is a sparsely populated nation for the most part. It's filled with many travelers as well as people who want to be left alone. It also has a surprisingly large Half-Orc population.
Territories
Forelenium has a "dark" land, where dark magic twists the land due to its free use. Nights are darker than normal. The people themselves live in small, well defended, villages and cities to guard them from what lies beyond.
Military
The Tharrisian Legions, Auxilia Corps, and chosen Foreleni Auxiliaries now serve as Forelenium's military.
Religion
Forelenium is odd in that they worship dragons, especially black dragons. While the belief was probably created long ago, the source of this faith us unknown now. Foreleni ancestors probably took Dragons creating the universe more literally, but now the Dragons are worshiped more for their usage of raw power than any actual belief that they created the universe.
Tharrisia has tried to break this belief and encourage traditional Mantle worship, but it's been a slow process.
Agriculture & Industry
Forelenium gets by mostly on its mining, and exports many forms of mineral and raw material. They need to import a lot of their non-basic foods and livestock.
