Rycerz Herolda, Champion of Embrel, and Hero of Aurelia (Posthumous) Octavia Ghiacciato (a.k.a. Reines Alba)
A rich young Equine of the Ghiacciato family, Octavia was raised to either be married off or to become a Lion of Tharrisia. Neither happened however, and she ran away from home to research the Sunless Day in more detail. During her runaway she encountered the other Wayfarers in their now historic ambush. Octavia was a core member of the group, and her accomplishments during her time with the group are many and it can be hard to sort fact from fiction. It is agreed she was with them for all of their major accomplishments and battles. She was known to be quite talkative and sometimes combative, as many have pointed out. Despite her being a spellcaster she often opted for one-on-one combat to settle disputes (to mixed results) and was known to often try and reason with distant heads of state. It is also now known that she was a Chosen of Morpulcar. Details on this are scarce, but it is generally accepted that Morpulcar played some role in saving her from a life-threatening injury while imbuing her with some power. Her appearance changed as a result as did her magical abilities. Octavia fell during the final battle with Aenophentari, sacrificing herself to help forestall some unknown and distant threat called "the Return," though details on this event are scarce. Since her death she has been honored both by Aurelia as a Hero of Aurelia, and by her home nation of Tharrisia, which named her an honorary Senator some years after her death, with no small influence from her powerful father. She also has several locations and people named after her, including an orphanage in Starmont Allod and it is said a Kobold in Straka bears her name. She has also become a patron saint of The Order of the Dead Rose, who served her for a time during The Year of the Dragon, with an effigy of her being placed in their newer Starmont Order Hall.
