Starmont Allod
Starmont is the southern most Allod of Aurelia. It is an important strategic location, with it bordering both Tharrisia and Embrel. Due to its close proximity to these two Fallen Cities Starmont is both responsible for the guarding of Aurelia's southern borders and the guarding of trade between Aurelia and these powers. This has made Starmont rich through its trade taxes and the influx of foreign goods. It is also the spot for most of the lumber harvesting for Aurelia.
The seat of power for Starmont Allod is Starmont, a castle upon the titular Starmont known for its unique layout, it is also the seat of the Vitri family, who has ruled Starmont since the formation of Aurelia.
History
Starmont's history dates back to the first age and the time of the Torva'Ir. It was named for the purple comet that supposedly landed on top of the titular mountain in an age long lost to memory.
During the Fall of the Torva the land was freed from Torvish control by Korthil Vitri and his followers, who then went to join the other Zwiastowaci in forming the kingdom of Aurelia. After Aurelia was formed Korthil built his castle upon Starmont, and ruled the land and protected the kingdoms southern border.
In more recent history Starmont Vitri's were responsible for the overthrowing of the Stellings family in the early 8th century. This was partially possible due to the then Lord of Starmont, Litor Vitri, and his son, Litor Vitri the Second, building up a base of Rycerz Herolda that were more loyal to them than Aurelia.
After Litor won the throne by killing the Stellings in a coup with his Rycerz Herolda he left Starmont to be ruled by his son. When Zelena returned in 740 2A she first came to Starmont, where she made fast friends with Litor II's wife, the Olark Evoda. Evoda was married to Litor II for her fathers vast wealth as a merchant, and despised the man, and was sympathetic to Zelena, becoming her first Aurelian ally. The two would plot and overthrow Litor II and kill him, taking Starmont from him. Zelena would use Starmont as her base of operations during the Aurelian civil war, though the town around Starmont was destroyed in the war as vengeance for its "betrayal."
After the war Zelena named Evoda Vitri the Lady of Starmont, a position she holds to this day.
