High Elves
The Torva’Shal (Translated as “Elves of the Arcane”) or as they are more commonly known, High Elves, originate from the Fallen City of Embrel.
Due to the levels of arcane magic in the area, the long-lived High Elves have changed on a physiological level from their original species. This is evident in the appearance of High Elves. While it can differ drastically the most common change is that High Elves tend to have glowing eyes (Usually blue or purple, but green and gold aren’t unheard of), and a purple or blue skin-tone is not uncommon nor is oddly colored or even glowing hair.
This has made them especially proficient in the magical arts, with even the least magically talented High Elf being able to cast spells.
High Elves mostly reside in their Fallen City of Embrel but can be found throughout Kalin. They often offer themselves as diplomats and arbiters in political disputes between nations and Fallen Cities.
High Elves live a long time, but not quite as long as their progenitors. Instead of being immortal they just live “A long-long time”. The average lifespan (barring disease or other forms of death) is around 1000 years.

High Elves, like their other Elven cousins, tend to be tall and lithe compared to other races.
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
High Elves stick out from their cousin races due to the arcane magic that has infused in them. Their eyes commonly glow blue or purple (though other colors are not uncommon). Additionally their skin sometimes veers towards bluish or purplish instead of the usual pale and tanned colors of the Elves.
