Battle of Gryndon Rise
The Conflict
Prelude
Adriel had taken pains to conceal the numbers of his troops - with extra tents left behind at Stengate with his garrison, and troops in his company sharing accommodation to mislead scouts and spies.
Adriel's forces were joined by allied troops of House Tyaldi who supported his claim, not least because of Fendrel's brutal attack upon Kenner of Tyaldi.
Deployment
Adriel's forces moved north by Gryndon rise where the forces of House Krennel had drawn up on the high ground, tempting an attack on their seemingly weak rear guard.
This ploy was successful and House Krennel's heavy infantry advanced to meet them only to meet larger numbers than expected and a swift reinforcement from the vanguard of the forces loyal to Adriel

The Engagement
Caught between the hammer and anvil of two armed forces stronger than expected, and having abandoned their own defensive lines in hope of a quick victory the forces of House Krennel were overwhelmed.
Outcome
After the battle was won, Adriel showed clemency to all who had fought honourable as enemies and won them to his cause with an impassioned speech. He went on to make sacrifice of arms to The Iron Face and the other gods.
