Portsmouth

Portsmouth is called such because it is point of entry for all trade in Jennara. Most shipping comes through this city and channels into a system of rivers to major regions of the continent. The mouth of the city refers also to its teeth. While centrally located and conveniently spilling out to easy transport through the continent coming into harbor is complicated by its many coral reefs as well as savage crab folk known as the Crustasha that live on the south end of the city.   In the days before the city was established the Crustasha built a neighborhood of the many sunken ships that had come to explore that quickly became coated in barnacles and coral. This cobbled weird landscape became known as the The Wrackshore .   Militia created by the The Temple of the Grasping Waters known as Shelley Coats patrol the South wall of the city bordering The Wrackshore making certain the crab folk do not molest the main city in the North.   Despite its hazards the North end of Portsmouth still became a hub of trade with its easy access to the rest of the newfound continent via rivers and lakes and a direct line to the wealth coming out of Borea Also it was the only civilization on the east end of the continent that invited trade. Both the elves of Leathem and Everska as well as the savage monster tribes of Megandra were isolationists.     To the South of the Wrackshore are the Southlands. Home of the Reef Sharks a coalition of pirate crews who use the fear of the crab folk to ward off their lands and make a pirate village free from molestation. The pirates in the Southlands also have close ties with the The Temple of the Grasping Waters who perhaps have the largest sway in the Portsmouth Merchant Council

Localized Phenomena

Inside the varied coral coastal beds can sometimes be found the rare ore known as Arium The recent discovery of this density changing metal endangers Portsmouth's status as a Mercantile hub and instead creates interest in it as a mine by Borea's D.E.V Department of External Veins.
One of the statues of Mardun examines the bottom of a sunken vessel   One of Portsmouth's greatest spectacles are the five great grey stone statues that herald the city as one sails into port standing knee deep in the waters. These great obelisks of men were carved from the mountains of Vulcor reshaped from the remains of Galeb Duhr enchanted by the great elementalist Mardun to perform an essential service. The statues stand at the ready and are enchanted to come alive if ships get run agroundnby the coral reef known as the teeth of Port Mouth.
Living statues stand ready to fish vessels out of the Jagged coral known as the teeth of Port Mouth.
