Shore Wolves
THE SHORE WOLVES
The Shore Wolves control the docks of Portsmouth. They are the strong arm of Portsmouth trade. The protectors of Paulo Gardan's warehouses, The exactors of the protection racket along the waterfront. It is also no secret to those who are the least naive that the Shore Lions are above any sort of law that the Yellow jackets might enforce.
The Shore Wolves are composed of both hobgoblin and human membership, less unruly types are often given a finding hand by membership in the shore wolves. and have wolves as pets often used for sniffing out anything that might be smuggled in the dock ward.
Structure
The Shore wolves report to Paulo Gardan and Benaga who now simply goes by Bennie. The shore wolves enforce the storage of the mouth tax. Most trade from exterior nations comes through the mouth and therefore passes through the wolves teeth. Oddly enough there are two sets of teeth any trade must pass through. The teeth of the lwolf and the teeth of the The Temple of the Grasping Waters whose strong arm muscle is the Reef Sharks Thus a twenty percent tax is payed in Portsmouth of all goods before any accounts are settled as to running the actual community. Gardan's lions are half composed of
goblin immigrants that have come over from Megandra seeking a life of society over savagery. The majority of Goblin immigrants that have found themselves in Portsmouth have been recruited amongst the wolves. The rest find themselves in Wrack Shore. Very few have found a life beyond thuggery.
Culture
The Shore wolves view the world around them as a fruit to be squeezed and leaned on.
Public Agenda
The Shore wolves s have little public agenda. They largely carry out the private interests of the mob boss Paulo Gardan. However many members of the Shore wolves serve the security interests of the public face of Paulo Gardan the wrong rapier and the Black Swan Swing, respective gambling establishments.

History
Paulo Gardan was once the coachman driver and bodyguard for Don Marcosa. During his time as a coachman he liberally picked Marcosa's brain. Marcosa was known as king of the docks in Portsmouth. Paulo was excessively charasmatic and confident and wasted no time in getting to know Marcosa's associates. It became embarrassing to Marcossa that his chauffeur should dominate conversation. Marcossa had several of his agents dispose of Gardan. Gardan however was prepared having saved and stolen for such an occasion and was able to turn those same enforcers back on Marcossa. With Marcossa out of the way no one knew his operation better than Gardan having ferried Marcossa to every locale and knowing exactly where he kept everything from notes he took knowing his servants. Gardan was ambitious to the letter. He now controls the docks in the most influentlal part of Jennara.
Anything comes through the mouth must be stored in the Wolves Belly.
