Reef Sharks

The Reef Sharks are an organization formed from the 8 different pirate crews that harbored in the Southshore of Portsmouth. The pirates were the first to form amicable relations with the Crustasha understanding their raiding ways. Though a known civilization of pirates the wrack shore as offered as a buffer between the lands of Portsmouth.   The reef sharks also act as the might of Ayasha in the The Temple of the Grasping Waters . Though a religious excise tax is payed for out going vessels, the crews that make up the Reef Sharks have a moratorium on raiding anything 5 miles from shore.   Crews that compose the Reef Sharks bear two flags on deck one of a shark and of course their own unique pirate signature flag.

Structure

The Reef sharks structure owes fealty to the South Shore Harbor Master who is a retired Pirate captain. Next in the governmental structure are the eight crew captains, Next the quartermasters who speak directly to the men.

Culture

The Reef Sharks are the naval equivalent of the Shore Wolves . However they keep the peace on the southern end with the crab folk. Corrupt they maintain ties with the The Temple of the Grasping Waters . What separates them is that they are a collective composed of many pirate crews. They are in a sense the exact opposite of the Northern merchant council.

Public Agenda

The Reef sharks are mariner thugs to the public. However they are peace keepers on the southern end of he Wrackshore.

Assets

The Reef sharks are possessed of a fleet of sloops and longboats that are capable of navigating through the reef labyrinths of the wrack shore and their own southern colony.

History

The Reef sharks are the oldest human society on Jennara. The crab folk, elves, and have certainly been there longer. Ships of pilgrims, or merchants prior were taken by the crab folk wreckers. Pirate crews came to hide out in this land eventually made peace with the crab folk. When explorers were able to cut a place in the northern reaches of Jennara they were able to maintain a position in society though widely being known as thieves and miscreants because they were able to negotiate peace with the crab folk and thusly became useful to the Northeners. The Reef sharks were able to secure an alliance as well with the temple of grasping waters since there raids became the pressure of good faith.
