Geography

Mitus's very terrain is inviting and influenced by Ahnita's pervasive kindness. Mitus is typically described as being comprised of rolling green hills, vibrant fields of flowers, and small copses of well kept fruit trees. It's appearance is said to change somewhat to accommodate each Mortal that arrives there.

Localized Phenomena

It is said that it is impossible to experience negative emotions in Mitus. It is said to be perfectly peaceful and is slightly different for each mortal that experiences it to suit each individual's subconscious preferences. All who reside here in their afterlife are said to be in a perpetual state of stable warmth in the loving embrace of Ahnita and her daughter.

History

Mitus was originally only the realm of Ahnita, Goddess of Compassion, but was brought closer to Arksend by her union with Rein. Now the planes are spiritually connected and some Mortal souls are even said to be capable of drifting between each plane.
Farahnita, one of Rein and Ahnita's two children, also resides in Mitus and her followers also find their way there in the afterlife.
Mitus is one of the planes in Orbis and has always been known to take in lost souls and wanderers. Ahnita's nature is compassion which she feels equally for all Mortals. The only Mortals that are not allowed into Mitus are those that are barred from Orbis all together by Paladora when they face judgement in Tribunal. Rein and some of the other Gods see it as their duty to prevent irredeemable souls from reaching Mitus, either as punishment to those beings who are likely to be damned to The Below or to prevent the corruption of Mitus.
