Warped reality

Reality around Colossi is always warped, usually in a way that's perceivable from a distance. This is how they can exist without eating, without breathing. How they can fly and swim and sometimes phase through the ground. All powers and effects of colossi are because of this warped reality.
However Cryolidhium effects the reality around the people of Jaumun and Vondren in many ways as well.

Direct Effects

People can be directly effected with warped reality when exposed to massive amounts of Cryolidhium. This is called Cryolidhium poisoning and usually happens in explosions but can also be inflicted by Colossi.
It usually takes the form of mutations and strange 'powers'.
The effects of this are varied and nearly impossible to predict. Only a few people have managed to gain an understanding of the patterns, or lack there of, and they are usually regarded as unpleasant to be around at best.

Unknown to people, it can also teleport someone to other places or realities, physically or just in their heads(they may actually be in another location as well as the one they seem to be in, and just seem mad as they try to exist in two places at once).

Narrative Background Radiation

Aka: The power to make things happen by believing they will.... sort of.
The people of JauVon have been exposed to Cryolidhium radiation for a long long time. Generations and generations.
Because of this reality is slightly warped around them.
If they have a reason to believe something it is more likely to be true.

A side effect of this is that, in general, they tend to value personal opinion over factual truth.

The Power of Promise

Promises in JauVon are metaphysically binding. To break a promise is to break who you are.
There are dire consiquinces for not keeping your word once given. Becasue of this people do not give thier word lightly.
Though nearly always unpleasent, the consiquinces of unfulfilled promises do seem proportional to the promise in question.

This usually takes the form of dramatic Irony, but it also attacts other misfortunes... and collossi.

Examples of NBR:

A person skilled at something has reason to believe that they are, because they are. But, due to this experienced backed belief, they can do more with that skill than is reasonable (by our standards).
Example

A skilled pilot can survive what would be a fatal crash, but just barely.
Or the craft they were flying is only damaged instead of totaled.
If there are two pilots with equal skill racing, and one believes he can do anything and the other is insecure, the insecure one will lose every time, even if their driver is better, less damaged, newer, has more power, has full fuel when the other is empty, ect.

The people of JauVon have no idea that this is a thing, that reality is warped around them in such a manner.
Though they are unaware of this warping, that doesn't mean that it doesn't effect their culture greatly.
Example

Because of the warping, handcrafted things in this world will nearly always be better than assimbly line factoy made things.
Things that are hand crafted in personal ways, with attention to detail and craftsmanship, work better than than things made on an assembly line or with an assembler machine even if, technically, the machined ones should work better and more precisely.
They believe that they do, and so they do.
Its compounded by the fact that people making things know they are better at it than a machine, so they are. And people using them believe that hand made things work better(since because it is now mostly true), and so they work even that much better.

A note for those RPing in the world.

This is not a license to go hog wild, this is an explanation of why you have moves and the npc's don't. Your will is higher by default, that's why you're cool enough to get stories about you :p

Effects of understanding

Typically the more you understand about how reality gets warped the less you understand about how to function as a person in society.
Even HavocBreakers and Maverics will find you unpleasant and hard to understand.
You also tend to find 'normal' people similarly unpleasant as they get upset at you for reasons you no longer comprehend. Or you don't even notice if someone is upset, and they likewise can't tell when you are.
People with this sort of 'understanding' still don't know that reality is warped, it is just reality.
