Sharos

The largest of Itorah's five major continents, Sharos is a highly varied continent, owning in part to its vertical placement: it spans from polar placement in the north, where it meets the North Pole's sheet ice, down past the equator, with its southern end even further than than Athana. As a result, it is simply too large to draw averages from: it varies wildly from freezing cold to burning hot, and from rain 24/7 to no rain ever.

Geography

Sharos houses countless biomes across its expansive lands, and even possess four distinct mountain ranges. Of these, the best known is the bordering mountain range, formed between North and South Sharos as a result of their plates pushing against each other. Both North and South Sharos possess similarly formed mountain ranges on their western sides, with the volcanic (and partly submerged) northern range formed from a clash between the North Sharosian plate and the Uspan plate, and the southern range formed between the South Sharosian and Noston plates. The final mountain range, located in the south east, is volcanic in origin.

Ecosystem Cycles

Though all of Sharos experiences four seasons (and the same four, even!), their placement in time varies between the two halves of the continent. In North Sharos, spring spans January, February, and March. It is then followed by summer during April, May, and June, which in turn becomes autumn during July, August, and September. The year ends with winter during October, November, and December.   On the other hand, South Sharos experiences spring during September, October, and November. Summer then spans December, January, and February, and autumn March, April, and May. Winter finally occurs during June, July, and August.

Climate

Sharos, as a continent, is too large to be able to speak much of its climate, as its biomes vary too widly across its length. It ranges from freezing cold to burning hot, and from rain 24/7 to no rain ever. In its far north it is covered with icy tundras, while its far south features a sprawling hot desert, and the lands in-between can feature just about any climate, from humid subtropical climates to cold steppes and deserts.
