Jugrar

One of the larger Itoran continents, Jugrar is wet and warm basically all throughout the year. The southernmost continent of all, Jugrar comes closest to the South Pole, but doesn't quite touch it. Between this polar south and a north around the equator, Jugrar sees quite a bit of temperature variation, though the majority of its land lies at the same latitude.

Geography

Highly variable from north to south, Jugrar sees biomes varying from tropical rainforests and savannas, through temperate forests, all the way down to boreal forests and cold deserts. It houses two small volcanic mountain ranges, of which the south-eastern has quite an impact on the surrounding climate.

Ecosystem Cycles

Jugrar experiences four distinct seasons, with summer especially wet and winter especially dry, and spring and autumn transitioning between them. The wet summer season spans December, January, and February, followed by autumn in March, April, and May. Dry winter then comes during June, July, and August. Finally, spring then transitions back to summer during September, October, and November.

Climate

Jugrar is oddly shaped, and features wildly different climates depending on the side. Its west side, crossing through far more latitudes than its east, features more varying climates as well. While one can find climates anywhere from tropical rainforests to cold deserts to hot-summer Mediterranean on the west, the east is mostly humid subtropical, dipping down into the subarctic Manchurian climates in the south.
