Aanngaavoq

Aanngaavoq is a small town located on an island to the north of Iskaldhal. The town has historically struggled to persist through the extreme weather conditions dominant in the northern seas, and relies on the Rite of Torpor to maintain its way of life. The island on which Aanngaavoq sits has held many names over the years, but is presently referred to as Aanngaavoq as well. If a distinction needs to be made, it may be referred to as Aanngaavoq Isle.
Citizens of Aanngavoq hold close ties to the witches of Jakku, who helped to invent and maintain the Rite. Unlike many places on Iskaldhal, Aanngavoq holds its witches in great esteem and they are largely embraced into the local cultural celebrations.
No sovereign power currently claims hold over Aanngaavoq, meaning the small settlement is happy to self-govern.
