Mordisi City Watch

Overview

The Mordisi City Watch patrols the streets and wall of Mordisi. They have one patrol route outside the city walls which is from the mine to the city and back from dawn to dusk, but not overnight.  The The Miner's Guild of Inanta pays the city a hefty fee for this privilege to keep their workers safe.

Culture

Most of the Watchmen (90%), become watchmen, to help protect their friends, families, and neighbors.  Their ideals lead to them wanting to help everyone around them, and Morea Island is diverse enough that no one thinks much about cultural differences when put against things like violence or theft.  The rationalization made by the islanders is more of an us versus them, in that strangers coming onto the island are treated as dangerous until they have proven that they aren't harmful to the average citizen.  This includes the watchmen and the Morea Elite Squad.  
Most of the influx of newcomers are from the Morea Pirate Horde Guild kidnapping or capturing people during their raids of ships.  Those newcomers are usually kept in one of the port cities until their are either ransomed back to their families or have accumulated to being part of the Morea Island lifestyle.  This has led to Mordisi being the most laid back and welcoming city on the island and that is reflected in the City Watch.
