The Pits
This sub-territory of the Citadel is home to most of the population of two demonic species, Imps and Creptus. And due to a long standing dislike of each other, the Pits is consistently the location of small wars battling for supremacy over the territory as a whole.
There are three settlements currently existing within the Pit's tall cliff walls; Muracliff, Holdstone and Boulderstein. Muracliff, the Creptus settlement, sits at the north end of the Pit deep beneath the surface of the earth. Holdstone is a city built into the southern part of the territory's bordering cliffs and is inhabited by mostly Imps and other species capable of flying. Boulderstein by contrast is a smaller settlement with a mix of species, but sits at the centre of the Pits and is constantly being taken over by whichever side has succeeded in a never-ending battle for power.
Geography
The Pits describes a vast area of sunken, volcanic rock. It is riddled with enormous caverns, volcanic fissures and impossibly tall cliff faces (in which there are various settlements built upon them). There are a few natural slopes around the Pit's circumference that allow for demons to access it.
