The Old World
End of Days - Cleris Dumont's vision of the Old World, painted 835 AP
A shroud of mystery wraps around the World of Lendor before the White Lord arrived. Only a few details are known for sure: The old World destroyed itself, millions perished and even a ruler with remarkable time-manipulating powers couldn't save his World from annihilation. With the arrival of the White Lord, the tatters of the Old World were left to decay, yet the remaining light was purified into a new one - Lendor. What happened to the Old King remains a mystery; many believe his light was taken during the destruction but that seems unlikely. A being that controls time would know of his own death and act accordingly. It is my belief he escaped his past and now lives among us - the beings of Light, on New Lendor. Although I cannot prove my assumption, I am confident the Queen knows the truth about his whereabouts, but she loves to keep secrets. Despite what little we know of these dark times, I firmly believe Imperials have ascended from a race called humans that existed during the Old World; my fellow peers are less convinced claiming it was a World of demons that managed to destroy themselves and they have no connection to the majesty of all of the Lord's born Lendorians. (They do, however, concede that the Ofrak cannot, in all truth, be regarded as majestic!) Read The Imperial race for more details. Related reading: Parallax the Whisperer The Lendorian Guardians
