Battle Balt Rules
This page provides a summary of Battle Balt rules for those who want to get into the game or prefer not appearing ignorant at a dinner party.
In its simplest form, all Battle Balt Organizations follows the 6 Laws of Light. Any balter found breaking these laws faces punishment from the governing organization concerned.

Punishment: The fouling balter suffers a warning static shock and a Purity Shot given to opponent. 2.) A combatant cannot enter his own trem zone.
Punishment: A static discharge stuns the fouling balter for several seconds providing a window of opportunity for an opponent to score a tremor. 3.) A combatant cannot enter the arena wearing more protection than allowed or carrying a blade that doesn't conform to official regulations.
Punishment: If the acting governor of the contest deems a balter has entered the Arena of Light using illegal equipment they can immediately forfeit the match handing victory to the complying balter. 4.) During a contest's face-off, no combatant may harm the other.
Punishment: Suspension and forfeit of match for any combatants breaking this rule. 5.) Once a winner has been officially declared neither combatant may harm the other.
Punishment: Suspension and forfeit of match for any combatants breaking this rule. 6.) A combatant found harming rabs before, during or after a contest will be immediately disqualified from the match.
Punishment: Post-contest, lifetime penalties or incarceration could be faced depending on the severity of the committed crime.
Punishment: Immediate lifetime ban to any combatant found activating their Sorce. The opponent receives victory. 2.) Death of an opponent (Either accidental or intentional)
Punishment: Contest immediately voided. The combatant committing the crime must face questioning under the The Lord's Pendant to ascertain their motives. If the action had been fuelled by Taint they will suffer the Queen's personal judgement. 3.) All balters must follow the code of conduct as laid out by Queen's decree.
Punishment: Balters that stray from the Queen's conduct laws will face her punishment.

The Imperial Balt League (IBL):
In addition to the rules listed above the Imperial Balt League has added 3 more. (As ordained by Her Majesty the Imperial Queen) 1.) All Sorces forbidden inside an Arena of Light.Punishment: Immediate lifetime ban to any combatant found activating their Sorce. The opponent receives victory. 2.) Death of an opponent (Either accidental or intentional)
