Cunang
The sometimes also called Chunang belief is a polytheistic religion especially prevelent in the East Ganaesa with roundabout 105 recognised deities in their pantheon, even though some may be still up to debate between scholars and religious leaders.
Divine Origins
The Cunang belief is mostly a fusion of many local spiritual practices and the worship of regional gods that at some point showed plenty similarities between the different folk groups that they began to merge more and more of their gods into the currently existing pantheon of roughly 105 recognised dieties. Throughout the centuries, other cultures' influences became undeniable as well, as the Cunang lore got extended by other folklore, myths and legends.
Throughout time, dieties went from natural phaenomenons to broader, more philosophical concepts, adapting or creating new dieties for the newly evolving trades etc.
The Cunang belief got firstly announced a complete pantheon by Chunnan scholars, which is the reason as to why nowadays the city is home to many temples and shrines.
